We can do this because we offer a limited menu. The specialized systems developed by Raising Cane’s® allow us to maintain a level of quality unmatched in the industry. Our commitment to this concept will not allow us to compromise our quality, cut corners or clutter our menu with new products that do not fit our core menu offering.
Why the Dog?:
The name of the restaurant was going to be “Sockeye’s Chicken Fingers” after the Sockeye salmon the Founder fished for in Alaska to raise money to start the restaurant. Luckily, a friend convinced him to name the first restaurant after his dog, “Raising Cane. ”During the renovation of the first restaurant, Raising Cane used to hang around the building site. The first Cane was a friendly, yellow lab who loved to be around people. Raising Cane I has since passed away. His wife Gwen surprised him with a yellow lab puppy one Christmas and he fittingly named her Raising Cane II to continue the legacy of our namesake. Cane II has become a very popular and well-known dog and stays busy with restaurant visits, community activities, and is often with us at our Restaurant Support Office. As a certified pet therapy dog, Cane II takes weekly visits with Gwen to Children’s Hospitals. (Pictured L-R: Todd Graves, Cane III, AJ Kumaran)
