George Lopez, D.L. Hughley at Levity Live

George Lopez

George Lopez’s multi-faceted career encompasses television, film, standup comedy and late-night television. For two seasons, Lopez hosted Lopez Tonight, a late-night television talk show on TBS, which represented Lopez’s return to series television after co-creating, writing, producing and starring in Warner Bros. Television’s groundbreaking hit sitcom George Lopez, which ran for six seasons on ABC. George Lopez remains a hit with viewers in syndication on both broadcast stations and cable’s Nick at Nite, ranking as one of the top-rated shows on the network and among the top five comedies and top 20 weekly programs in syndication. George Lopez is one of only four off-net comedies to post weekly ratings gains among households from the 2007-’08 to 2008-’09 season.

Lopez is currently on his standup comedy tour, The Comedy Get Down, with Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer in arenas across the country.

Lopez is also starring in his new comedy series, Lopez on TV Land.  Starring and produced by Lopez, the series explores how he struggles between his two worlds and crises that are often of his own making. The half hour single camera serialized comedy consists of 12 episodes.

Lopez was last seen in the Lionsgate inspirational drama, Spare Parts.  Produced by Lopez, the film is based on a true story about four undocumented Mexican-American teenagers from Phoenix who team up to build an underwater robot that wins the national robotics competition.  In 2014, Lopez starred in the multi-camera ensemble comedy Saint George on FX, which he co-created.

In 2006, Lopez received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In addition, Time magazine named him one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America, and the Harris Poll named him one of the Top Ten Favorite Television Personalities.

DL Jughley

One of the most popular and highly recognized standup comedians on the road today has also made quite an impression in the television, film and radio arenas.  DL can currently be heard nationwide as host of his own afternoon radio show “The DL Hughley Show” which is nationally syndicated in over 60 cities across the country including the #1 radio market – New York.   He has also recently released his second book Black Man, White House: An Oral History of the Obama Years, described as a satirical retrospective of Obama’s years in office.  The book, which was released in June, made the New York Times Bestseller List.  DL is currently touring as part of the Comedy Get Down Tour, which features DL along with Cedric the Entertainer, George Lopez, Eddie Griffin and Charlie Murphy.  The tour will be turned into a dock-reality series to air on BET & Comedy Central this fall.

First and foremost a standup comedian, he stars in his ninth stand-up comedy special Clear which is currently airing on Showtime.  In 2012, Random House books released his first humorous book title, I Want You to Shut the F*ck Up.  That same year, DL also created and starred in the satirical documentary special for Comedy Central DL Hughley: The Endangered List, which premiered to rave reviews.  The special was honored with the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award at the 72nd Annual Peabody Awards competition.

Known for being astute and politically savvy in true comedian style, DL served as host of his own late night talk show on CNN DL Hughley Breaks the News, and was a series regular on the NBC drama Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. DL hosted the TBS’s game show Trust Me, I’m a Game Show Host.  He also tapped into his playful side and participated in the 16th season of the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars.

As the star and producer of his namesake television show that ran on ABC and UPN The Hughleys, DL is also well known as one of the standout comedians on the hit comedy docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy.  A veteran of numerous talk show appearances DL switched the tables in 2005, hosting his own talk show on Comedy Central Weekends at the DL.  He is a regular on the late night talk show circuit, including always-memorable appearances on Real Time with Bill Maher, and The Tonight Show.  He is frequently requested as a guest host for such shows as Good Morning America, The View and Live with Kelly.

DL’s first love always has been, and always will be, standup comedy.  “From the minute I first walked onstage and picked up a microphone,” he says, “I knew that it was what I was meant to do.”
