Hip Hop as Indigenous Resistence

Hailing From Palenque, the first free black town in the Americas, Kombilesa Mi overlays traditional Colombian rhythms and instruments with lyrics in both Spanish and their local language, Palenquero.

The result: an electrifying fusion.

Performance will be followed by a Q&A facilitated by MICOP, the Mixteco Indigenous Organizing Project.
