Oxnard PAL brings a series of International Competitors to the West Coast for the International Boxing Championship on September 29 - October 4, 2025
Rich in the boxing tradition, Oxnard even has an appropriate nickname – “Boxnard.” Oxnard is a national hub for boxing and is home to many amateur and professional boxers, some of whom have been born and raised within the city limits, and others who have moved to Oxnard specifically to train.
While you’re here, pursuing your dreams, take time to delight in our hidden gem of a town, where the U.S. 101 meets Pacific Coast Highway – California cool, panorama-perfect, culturally authentic and vibrant beyond measure. Just sixty miles northwest of LAX and in close proximity to Santa Barbara and other major destinations, Oxnard is one of California’s best kept secrets.
Oxnard Police Activities League (Oxnard PAL) hosts the International PAL Boxing Championships with the National Association of Police Athletics/Activities Leagues (National PAL). All of this is happening in Oxnard, California on September 29 through October 4, 2025 at the PAL Gym. Oxnard PAL is set to bring several International Competitors to the West Coast including a team of from the Philippians. In total this event will host athletes from all over the United States, England, Malta, Italy, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, India, the Romani People of Europe and Mexico for this Tournament. It is expected that this tournament will consist of well over 750 boxers ages 9-40 competing in both open and novice levels.

Event parking is FREE. Tickets will be sold at the door and are first-come, first-serve.
Ticket Prices:
Drive – Oxnard is on the coast, just 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles, and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara.
Fly – Oxnard is an easy 90 minute drive from Los Angeles Airport (LAX), 60 minutes from Burbank Airport (BUR) and 40 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport (SBA).
Train – You can also sit back and enjoy the scenery aboard the train! Oxnard’s Transportation Center has regular service via Amtrak and Metrolink. Once in the station, you can take a taxi or ride app to the tournament, about a 1-mile drive.
The following are some shuttle van services available to Oxnard from LAX, BUR and SNA airports:
Northbound on the 101 freeway from Los Angeles: Exit Oxnard Boulevard. Turn LEFT (Southbound). Make a RIGHT onto W. 5th Street. Turn RIGHT on S. K Street. Continue 482 ft. and arrive at 350 S. K Street.
Southbound on 101/126 freeway from Santa Barbara/Santa Clarita: Exit Ventura Road. Turn LEFT (Southbound). Make a LEFT onto W. 5th Street. Turn LEFT on S. K Street. Continue 482 ft. and arrive at 350 S. K Street.
