Inaugural International PAL Boxing Championships

Oxnard Police Activities League (Oxnard PAL) hosts the Inaugural International PAL Boxing Championships with the National Association of Police Athletics/Activities Leagues (National PAL). All of this is happening in Oxnard, California on October 1-5, 2024 at the PAL Gym. Oxnard PAL is set to bring several International Competitors to the West Coast. For the first time since 2005, the Police Clubs of Great Britain has committed to bringing 40 participants back to Oxnard. In total this event will host athletes from all over the United States, England, Malta, Italy, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, India, the Romani People of Europe, and Mexico for this Tournament. It is expected that this tournament will consist of well over 700 boxers ages 9-40 competing in both open and novice levels.

The International PAL Boxing Tournament will hold Open and Novice Categories for Males & Open categories for Females in the following Divisions:

  • Pee-Wee (9-10 years old)
  • Bantam (11-12 years old)
  • Intermediate (13-14 years old)
  • Junior (15-16 years old)
  • Senior Elite (19-40 years old)

Admission & Parking

Event parking is FREE. Tickets will be sold at the door and are first-come, first-serve.

Ticket Prices:

  • $10 per session for adults 18+
  • $5 per session for Children 6-17
  • Free for children 5 and under

Transportation | Getting Here

Drive – Oxnard is on the coast, just 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles, and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara.
Fly
– Oxnard is an easy 90 minute drive from Los Angeles Airport (LAX), 60 minutes from Burbank Airport (BUR) and 40 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport (SBA).

Train – You can also sit back and enjoy the scenery aboard the train! Oxnard’s Transportation Center has regular service via Amtrak and Metrolink. Once in the station, you can take a taxi or ride app to the tournament, about a 1-mile drive.
