Oxnard, CA – Group Sales Manager Courtney Freeman has been awarded the “Stellar Performer” Award by integrated media company Smart Meetings.
Awardees are described as women who “are the first to roll up their sleeves, persevere through any obstacle, are savvy problem solvers and stare challenges in the face with a smile.” Freeman was featured in the March issue of Smart Meetings Magazine and will be awarded at the Smart Woman Summit in Denver this September 2020.
Freeman is 1 of 20 female sales experts across the hospitality industry to be awarded in this category; other winners include professionals from corporate giants Live Nation, Disney and the NFL Players Association. Of the award, Freeman describes the win as an “incredible full circle moment,” recounting her very first business trip: a one-day Smart Meetings event in Dallas. She joined Visit Oxnard in Summer 2019 after stints in sales for Palms Casino Resort; Tropicana Las Vegas and Westgate Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
While accepting her award in Denver, Freeman knows she’ll have her teammates cheering her on back at the office. “Courtney’s experience in the hospitality industry is unparalleled. She is knowledgeable, extremely creative and a team-player.
