What is Film Oxnard?
Film Oxnard is a joint effort between the City of Oxnard as the film permitting agency and Visit Oxnard, the destination marketing organization for the City of Oxnard, to promote film locations for consideration in Oxnard. We offer support so that film productions can run smoothly in our locale. While not an official standalone film commission, we operate similarly. Our goal is to drive business to our locations and local hospitality partners as part of our economic development collaborative. While the City of Oxnard handles permit processing and coordination with the Fire Department, Police and other relevant agencies, Visit Oxnard assists with liaison efforts between film scouts, the City and local businesses.
