How to Plan Your Visit to the Oxnard Multicultural Festival (2023)

Celebrate the many diverse nations, languages and cultures of the world at this one-day festival.

Come to Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our historic city at the Oxnard Multicultural Festival. Here's your guide to the one-day festival.

DETAILS: Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 11 am to 4 pm at Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard.

What to Expect

In 1995 the Multicultural Festival was introduced to the community by the Oxnard Community Relations Commission (CRC), a citizen advisory group whose mission is to promote understanding and respect among all racial, religious and nationality groups in the City and to discourage and prevent discriminatory practices. The festival is organized by the CRC, City of Oxnard staff and volunteers.

The Multicultural Festival features a variety of fun, educational activities, entertainment and exhibits for all ages.

  • Learn more about the areas of the world represented in the Oxnard community. Grab a Multicultural Festival passport and receive stamps by visiting the booths representing Africa, Belize, Bolivia, China, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Mexico, the Middle East and the Philippines. Attendees who submit a fully stamped passport will receive a prize and be entered into the hourly raffle.
  • Enjoy various activities for kids including the adrenaline-pumping fun in the jolly jumpers and painting.

Enjoy browsing the wide selection of locally or globally made hand-crafted goods.

Indulge in delicacies from around the world and try something new with various gourmet food trucks and food vendors in the international food court.

The 26th Annual Multicultural Festival is held at Plaza Park, at 500 South 'C' St in Oxnard, California.

The Oxnard Multicultural Festival is a free community event.

Parking is free but can be hard to find, so get to the festival early to find a space! You can find parking in the Downtown Parking Garage on 4th and B streets. There are also over 20 public parking lots throughout Downtown Oxnard.

Another option is to take the local Gold Coast transit bus, which stops in Oxnard, Ventura or Ojai, to the Oxnard Transit Center.

If you live outside of Ventura County, take the Amtrak train into town. The station is located three blocks from the Festival.
