Boxnard- Oxnard's Boxing Culture
Oxnard is ready to welcome boxers from around the world for the 2026 International PAL Boxing Championships from August 24-29th, 2026. This six-day competition brings together emerging and experienced amateur boxers for a week of high-level competition in the heart of Oxnard.
Rich in the boxing tradition, Oxnard even has an appropriate nickname – “Boxnard.” Oxnard is a national hub for boxing and is home to many amateur and professional boxers, some of whom have been born and raised within the city limits, and others who have moved to Oxnard specifically to train.

- Competition: Daily at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.

- PeeWee 9-10 (Male Open, Female Open)
- Bantam 11-12 (Male Open, Female Open, Male Novice)
- Intermediate 13-14 (Male Open, Female Open, Male Novice)
- Junior 15-16 (Male Open, Female Open, Male Novice)
- Youth 17-18 (Male Open, Female Open, Male Novice)
- Senior Elite 19-40 (Male Open, Female Open, Male Novice)
Admission & Parking
Event parking is FREE. Parking is available on public streets and in parking lots at and around the tournament venue. Tickets will be sold at the door and are first-come, first-serve.
Ticket Prices:
- Adults 18+: $10 per session
- Children 6-17: $5 per session
- Children 5 and under: Free
A Showcase of Boxing's Next Champions
The International PAL Boxing Championships bring together athletes from across the United States and around the world for six days of amateur boxing competition. With multiple age, weight and experience divisions, the tournament showcases athletes at every stage of their boxing journey, from young competitors taking their first steps in the sport to seasoned amateurs competing at a high level.
Oxnard PAL has a long-standing tradition of developing and showcasing talented boxers, making the championships a unique opportunity to experience the next generation of boxing champions up close.

Venue Rules
Not permitted:
- No pets allowed with the exception of service animals.
- No coolers/ice chests allowed.
- Smoking & vaping are not permitted at any City facility or property per City Ordinance No. 2908.
- Possession or use of a weapon or explosive devices is not allowed.
- Selling, possessing or use of illegal drugs, alcohol or marijuana is not allowed.

Drive – Oxnard is on the coast, just 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles, and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara.
Fly – Oxnard is an easy 90 minute drive from Los Angeles Airport (LAX), 60 minutes from Burbank Airport (BUR) and 40 minutes from Santa Barbara Airport (SBA).
Train – You can also sit back and enjoy the scenery aboard the train! Oxnard’s Transportation Center has regular service via Amtrak and Metrolink. Once in the station, you can take a taxi or ride app to the tournament, about a 1-mile drive.

Southbound on 101/126 freeway from Santa Barbara/Santa Clarita: Exit Ventura Road. Turn LEFT (Southbound). Make a LEFT onto W. 5th Street. Turn LEFT on S. K Street. Continue 482 ft. and arrive at 350 S. K Street.
