Stoney Peak Point, Chatsworth - Experience rock-climbing year-round at Stoney. It's also a great place to take a walk if you're not ready to climb just yet.

Joshua Tree National Park, Joshua Tree - A three-hour drive from Oxnard, Joshua Tree National Park is the furthest rock climbing destination but 100% worth the drive. It's famous for traditional-style crack, slab, and steep face climbing.

Day 1: ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST
An ideal place for a summer day trip, Angeles National Forest and the neighboring San Gabriel Mountain range are home to a vast array of rock climbing options. Though some areas are designated wilderness zones and bolting is prohibited, there are plenty of great rock climbing routes in this scenic alpine setting. If you take the PCH to get there, stop at Point Mugu Rock, where you can start on a leisurely but iconic climb.
Day 2: LOS PADRES NATIONAL FOREST
For an added day of rock climbing adventures, hop on the 101 North to the Los Padres National Forest. The Santa Barbara area is full of sheer cliff faces and rock formations and is a hot spot for rock climbers of all skill levels. On your way back into town, enjoy beautiful ocean views, and during early and mid-spring, pull off into one of the many cliffside viewing areas to spot migrating whales and dolphins.
Day 1: STONEY PEAK POINT
Jump on the 101 to the 118 Freeway and drive to Chatsworth for a rock climbing trip to suit any level. Start your adventure at Stoney Peak Point to enjoy rock climbing any day of the week.
Day 2: JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
For the ultimate world-class rock climbing experience, head to Joshua Tree National Park. Here you'll find more than 8,000 climbing routes, 2,000 boulder problems, and hundreds of natural gaps.
