3rd Annual Lima Bean Fest @ Oxnard Historic Farm Park
Overview
Celebrate a unique piece of Oxnard history at the 3rd Annual Lima Bean Fest on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Oxnard Historic Farm Park!
Once known as the “Lima Bean Capital of the World,” Oxnard has deep agricultural roots, and this family-friendly festival brings that history to life with food, music, demonstrations, activities and plenty of lima beans.
Put your taste buds to the test during the lima bean tasting contest, featuring creative dishes like lima bean chili, soup, hummus and even cookies. Sample the entries and cast your vote for your favorite!
Throughout the afternoon, enjoy live music from Frankie and the Lima Bean, watch a traditional bean thresher demonstration and explore lima bean displays highlighting Oxnard’s agricultural heritage. Kids can join in lima bean-themed crafts and games, including a lively round of lima bean toss.
Visitors can also tour the historic grounds and see the latest restoration work on the park’s 1869 winery building and 1870 farmhouse, then stop by the library for a lima bean history slideshow. Books about Oxnard’s lima bean legacy, commemorative posters and locally grown lima beans will also be available for purchase.
