Celebration of the Whales Festival

Channel Islands Harbor is excited to announce the 2026 Celebration of the Whales Festival, scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at locations throughout the Harbor.

This beloved Harbor tradition celebrates the annual migration of the Pacific gray whale and offers a fun, family-friendly day filled with activities, education and community connection.
The festival will feature interactive activities for all ages, including hands-on marine education, children’s activities, shopping, food vendors and opportunities to get out on the water. Activities will take place at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, Channel Islands Boating Center, Channel Islands Harbor Farmers Market and along the “Gray Whale Migration Trail” connecting Harbor View Park and the event activity centers.
