Event Submission Guidelines

Visit Oxnard manages a year-round calendar of events on its website to serve visitors to our destination. The purpose of the calendar is to provide leisure travelers to Oxnard with vacation-focused events and activities.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:

  • Image(s): An image of at least 800 x 600 pixels must accompany each event submission, with the recommended aspect ratio set to square or 4:3. Photos should be horizontal and without text (no banners, please). Please do not submit .tiff or .pdf files. Only submit photos or images that you have express permission or rights to use. By uploading an image, you certify that you have use rights for the image(s) and that you authorize use by VisitOxnard.com.
  • Approval Process: Submitting your event does not guarantee that it will be posted to the VisitOxnard.com calendar of events. If your event does not meet the calendar’s criteria, you will be notified by our website editorial team. You will be contacted if additional information is needed before posting.
  • Event Location: Events must take place within Oxnard city limits, with special consideration given to certain Ventura County events accessible from Oxnard hotels.
  • Public Events: Events must be open to the public. Private events will not be posted.
  • Tourism-Friendly Events: Events must actively promote to, and attract, out-of-town visitors. Corporate events, training seminars, trade shows, fundraisers, camps, multi-week classes and workshops, library events/classes and workshops, sports league and recreational registrations, local school or church functions and other similar events will not be included in the calendar of events.
  • Right to Refuse: Visit Oxnard reserves the right to refuse inclusion of any event that does not align with the Visit Oxnard brand, is political in nature or is deemed offensive by Visit Oxnard.

Event Submission Form

To submit an event, simply fill out the submission form below and allow three (3) working days for it to be posted. To best serve those planning travel to Oxnard, please submit your event at least three (3) weeks in advance of the event date.
