The Awakening Magazine: Volume 8 Exhibition

Join The Awakening Magazine for the opening of Volume 8 on September 4 at Chapter 30 Studios in Oxnard.

The Awakening is an independent art magazine and collaborative platform created and curated by artists from Oxnard. Through print, exhibitions, and digital spaces, we bring together artists with different perspectives and creative practices while encouraging curiosity, conversation, and connection through art.

Volume 8 is our largest edition yet, featuring 250 artists from around the world. The release will be celebrated with a month-long exhibition featuring work from more than 100 artists, bringing homegrown artwork from Ventura County together with work from across the country and around the world.

Volume 8 explores art as a form of world-building, inviting viewers to stay curious, ask questions, and experience different ways of seeing the world.
