Visit Oxnard Celebrates the Season with Festive Events, Waterfront Magic & Community Traditions

Below are some of the city’s best holiday events and activities taking place this November and December:

History and Tradition in Downtown Oxnard and Heritage Square

• Watch Ventura County’s tallest Christmas tree (at over 110 feet!) light up Plaza Park, alongside the historic Oxnard pagoda, at the annual Downtown Oxnard Tree Lighting Celebration, taking place Dec. 4 from 5-9:00pm in Plaza Park.
  
  
• The famed Christmas Tree Lane continues its spectacular, decades-long tradition of festively lit and decorated houses in Oxnard’s National Historic District. Decorations will be on display along Oxnard’s F & G Streets between 5th Street and Palm, transforming the two historic streets into a holiday wonderland from Dec. 7-26 every night. One of the most cherished events in Oxnard for more than two decades, these elaborate holiday decorations make up one of Ventura County's biggest residential light displays.
  
  
• A beloved part of the Christmas Tree Lane experience, the F Street Railroad is a festive front-yard exhibit that has taken place annually since 2001. This 28 by 20 foot table features a display of locomotives that continues to grow in size each year.
  
  
• The double decker Oxnard Holly Trolley provides a 50-minute guided tour of Christmas Tree Lane and Heritage Square’s Gingerbread Exhibit. The tours start Dec. 16 to 18 at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm, and include complimentary hot cocoa and cookies. Prepaid reservations are required.
  
  
• Another fun NEW way to experience Christmas Tree Lane is Heritage Square’s Sip, Taste & Tour of Christmas Tree Lane on Dec. 13, with an intimate progressive dining experience through four beautifully decorated historic homes along the famed route. Enjoy festive bites from local restaurants and sips from select wineries and breweries as you stroll from house to house with your tour guide sharing stories and holiday history. Tours depart at 6:00, 6:45, 7:30 and 8:15 PM. Tickets are $75 per guest, available now on Eventbrite.
  
  
• From Dec. 7, 2025 through Jan. 10, 2026, visit Heritage Square Hall to enjoy the annual Gingerbread House Exhibit, available on select dates or by a prescheduled appointment. Group tours are available on weekdays and evenings by request for a unique experience. Explore the exteriors of historic homes of Heritage Square, along with select interiors, for just $5 per person.
  
  
• Indulge at the 17th annual Oxnard Tamale Festival on Dec. 6 from 9:00am – 6:00pm in Downtown Oxnard’s Plaza Park. Enjoy delicious tamales from a variety of regions in Mexico, shop arts & crafts vendors, enjoy live entertainment and a kid’s zone.

• Enjoy festive marching bands, local school groups, themed floats, a visit from Santa and more at the annual Oxnard Christmas Parade on Dec. 6 from 10:00am – noon.
  

Festivities at the Channel Islands Harbor & Seabridge Marina

• The Channel Islands Harbor’s 59th annual Parade of Lights, themed “Rudolph’s Rock ’n’ Roll Regatta,” will take place this year on Dec. 13 from 7-9:00pm. Brightly lit and decked out boats will parade through the Channel Islands Harbor. Before that, enjoy a full day of holiday activities, including decorated boats in the parade while listening to carolers sing holiday songs. There will also be holiday arts and crafts vendors. Bright lights, big music and holiday energy await the whole family!
  
  
• Take a festive ride in an authentic Venetian gondola with Gondola Paradiso’s Candy Cane Cruise, a magical 25-minute gondola ride with Santa, creating unforgettable memories for the whole family this holiday season.
  
  
• Embark on a guided harbor homes holiday lights boat tour through Channel Islands Harbor and Seabridge with Channel Islands Marine Safari Adventures aboard a holiday tiki-themed boat!
  
  
• Join the Santa to the Sea half marathon on Dec. 14, which starts at the Santa Claus statue along the 101 freeway and ends at the Channel Islands Harbor. Participants can also run a quarter marathon, 5k or 1k Kids Fun Run.

• From handmade treasures to locally crafted goods, the Merry Vibes Holiday Market at The Collection RiverPark promises a warm, festive atmosphere and a chance to celebrate the season in style while shopping local, taking place on Dec. 6. There will also be a Makers Hive Market at The Collection on Dec. 13, a curated market bringing together talented local makers and the community they inspire.
  
  
• Discover something unique for everyone on your list, from the local vendors at the Channel Islands Harbor Farmers Market every Sunday from 10:00am – 2:00pm.
  
  
• Downtown Oxnard will be hosting a Holiday Market together with their Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. Stop by Park Plaza on Dec. 4 from 5:00-9:00pm.
  
  
• Kick off your holiday shopping at Zachari Dunes Plaza with their Winter Holiday Market
  Dec. 14 with live music, festive décor, boutique finds, seasonal treats and free tastings all in an open-air marketplace.
  
  
• Check out the Channel Islands Harbor Parade of Lights Holiday Market on Dec. 13. Shop from over 50 local vendors with one-of-a-kind hand-crafted gifts, indulge in delicious holiday treats and savor chef-prepared festive foods and drinks.
• Get into the holiday spirit at the Very Merry Pixie Xmas Market! Happening Dec. 14, from 10:00am – 3:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Downtown Oxnard, this festive market features shopping, food, live music and raffles—all wrapped up in a holiday-inspired atmosphere.

Seasonal Events and Experiences at The Collection

• The Collection at RiverPark will kick off the season with its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on Nov. 19 from 6-8:00pm, which includes holiday entertainment, an extravagant tree lighting and a spectacular fireworks show.
  
  
• On Dec. 13, the Peppermint Kids Cluboffers the opportunity to enjoy a morning with your favorite holiday characters for arts and crafts, face paintings and fun surprises from 10:30am - noon.
  
  
• Additional experiences at The Collection include Photos with Santa from Nov. 21 – Dec. 24 (closed Thanksgiving); Letters to Santa from Nov. 21 – Dec. 15; Santa Paws Pet Photo Nights on Nov. 25 and December 2, 9, & 16 and more.

Celebrate the Holidays & Ring in the New Year at Zachari Dunes

• Zachari Dunes on Mandalay Beach is offering an array of festive holiday experiences, including Winter Holiday Market on Nov. 16 and Dec. 14, Sommelier Showcase on Nov. 22, and an Opolo Winemaker Dinner on Dec. 13. Kids can see Santa on Dec. 13, Dec. 20 and 24 from 4:30-6:30pm

• On Dec. 24 guests and locals can indulge in a Christmas Eve Dinner with a prix fixe menu, and a Christmas Day Brunch on Dec. 25.
