Save on gas, and enjoy the beautiful coastal views of Southern California by taking a ride on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner. Here's how to plan your trip.
The Pacific Surfliner is an affordable, eco-friendly, car-free and stress-free way of traveling to Oxnard.
The Pacific Surfliner connects Southern California to Oxnard and the Central Coast as it travels 351 miles along the Pacific Coast, one of the most naturally scenic Amtrak routes in the nation.
Starting at San Diego's Santa Fe Depot and traveling northbound through Orange County, Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties to San Luis Obispo, the Pacific Surfliner stops at 27 stations and a few major attractions (e.g., Del Mar's race track, Anaheim's Angels Stadium, Disneyland Resort, Los Angeles Union Station, Hollywood Burbank Airport).
The Oxnard Amtrak Station is located in Downtown Oxnard at the Oxnard Transportation Center. The address is 201 East Fourth Street.
Amtrak offers checked baggage service to/from Oxnard and the waiting room is open daily from 6 am to 9 pm.
Arrive at least 45 minutes before departure if you're checking baggage or require ticketing/passenger assistance.
The Pacific Surfliner offers unreserved coach and reserved business class seating. Onboard amenities on the Pacific Surfliner include complimentary wi-fi, power outlets, spacious, reclining seats and overhead luggage/surfboard racks.

The northbound Pacific Surfliner stops at the Oxnard Transportation Center at 8:56 AM, 10:54 AM,4:52 PM and 8:59 PM.
The southbound Pacific Surfliner stops in Oxnard at 7:57 AM, 9:55 AM, 2:53 PM, 5:42 PM, and 8:05 PM (schedule current as of July 2023).

To make it easier to get around Oxnard, the Pacific Surfliner offers complimentary local transfers to your final destination via Ventura County Transportation Commission (VCTC) and Gold Coast Transit buses. Pacific Surfliner passengers just need to show their train ticket when boarding the bus.
You can bring your bike onboard the Pacific Surfliner for free by simply making a reservation for your bike when booking a trip.
