Dominick's Italian Restaurant

Dominick’s is conveniently located a few minutes off the 101 Highway and the 1 Coast Highway in Oxnard, California. The restaurant opened in 1949 and it’s one of the longest-running restaurants in Oxnard. The dining atmosphere is perfect for family dinners, large parties, or intimate dates.

A FAMILY BUSINESS
Dominick DeMatteis opened Dominick’s Italian Restaurant in 1949 at 477 N. Oxnard Boulevard in Oxnard, California. Before Dominick’s, the building was an auto sales and repair shop where you can see the original garage doors today. Dominick, with his wife Sandra, operated the restaurant from 1949 until the summer of 1958. Florence Henggeler, Dominick’s niece, and her husband Bill took over the restaurant from her Uncle Dominick in 1958. Bill and Florence left their lives in New York for Oxnard and their two oldest children, Roger and Maureen. Upon their arrival, they began to expand their family, with two sons, Brian and Sean. As years passed, the family continued to grow with six grandchildren who have all had a part in the restaurant. Dominick’s is now run by brothers Brian and Sean Henggeler.

CATERING
Whether you are planning a family reunion, large company party, or wedding, Dominick’s offers several options to enhance your party. Select from various appetizers, salads and pastas to create the perfect party experience. Trays are provided with warmers if needed. Larger parties may inquire about food and bar service and reserve the restaurant for private parties.
