The mission of Visit Oxnard is to promote and market Oxnard as a premier leisure and business travel destination that brings significant economic and social benefits to our community. Visit Oxnard is funded by a 1.5 percent tourism assessment charged by area hotels with 51+ rooms as well as a yearly contracted amount from the City of Oxnard.
In addition to being governed by a Board of Directors, made up of a diverse group of professionals with expertise from various sectors of the tourism and hospitality industries, Visit Oxnard is made up of a team of marketing, sales and administrative professionals whose goals are to: 1) Increase overnight stays and visitation during off-season; 2) Improve the perception of Oxnard to residents and visitors; and 3) Increase online audience across social and digital platforms.
