Personal oxnard Insights

Discover Daniel's handpicked favorites that showcase the heart and charm of Oxnard.

1. What is your favorite thing about Oxnard?

Oxnard is a cool California town with the best people and culture. I love being so close to the beach, where I can enjoy the magnificent sunsets year-round. My second favorite thing is shopping at the local farmers markets and pop-up markets in Downtown Oxnard, filled with amazing local food and vendors. To top it all off, attending the Dia de Los Muertos events in October and November is always a highlight for me.

2. What is your top recommendation for visitors to Oxnard?

My top recommendation is Heritage Square in Downtown Oxnard, where you can walk through history with original Victorian-era homes that once belonged to Oxnard's pioneers. These beautiful homes are now preserved in a charming block in Downtown Oxnard. I also love visiting local coffee shops, and I highly recommend Xielo Artisan Desserts—my go-to order is a Café de Olla and a crepe de cajeta.
