The Latinx Experience: Featuring Journey of the Skeletons, A Dia de Los Muertos Story

September 9 to October 9 | The Elite Theatre Company (2731 Victoria Ave, Oxnard, CA)

Don't miss A Dia de Los Muertos Story, a heart-warming comedy that follows a Latino family as they prepare to connect with their loved ones who must pass through the underworld to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. The Elite Theatre Company production features a variety of Latino Artists from our community, including dancers, poets, storytellers & musicians. Juliana Acosta directs the play by Dr. Max Branscomb. The Experience runs for five weekends.

The 25th Annual Multicultural Festival

October 1, 2022 from 11 to 4 pm | Plaza Park in Downtown Oxnard

The Multicultural Festival features a variety of fun, educational activities, entertainment and exhibits for all ages. Enjoy performances, cultural dance groups, band and various activities for kids, including jolly jumpers. Grab a Multicultural Festival passport and receive stamps by visiting the booths representing Africa, Belize, Bolivia, China, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Mexico, the Middle East and the Philippines. Attendees who submit a fully stamped passport will receive a prize and be entered into the hourly raffle.

Shop locally or globally made hand-crafted goods. Indulge in delicacies from around the world and try something new with various gourmet food trucks and food vendors in the international food court.

2022 Central Coast British Car Club Show

October 2 from 9:00 - 2:30 pm | Harbor View Park (3600 Harbor Blvd)

Love cars? Then this event is for you. The Central Coast British Car Club Show features 125 British cars, food trucks, a DJ, and more. The car show is judged by the participants, with an awards ceremony held at 1:30 pm. This event is free to attend.

SPELLBOUND Magic Mashup Benefit Show

October 7, 2022, at 7 PM | Oxnard Performing Arts Center

Enjoy a night of magic for the whole family at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. SPELLBOUND Magic Mashup hosted by Oxnard Performing Arts Center Corporation (OPAC) and The House of MAGIC Foundation, is a one-night show that benefits the underserved, children at risk, and people with disabilities. The show features magicians from the Magic Castle, Europe and Santa Paula, including Host Wildcat Jackson, a self-proclaimed monarch of the west who entertains as an old-west showman in a modern world.

Ponies by the Sea Car Show

October 9 from 10-3 pm | Harbor View Park (3600 Harbor Blvd)

Mustangs from all eras will be on display at the Ponies by the Sea Car Show, hosted by the Tri-County Mustang Club. There will be food trucks, music, games, and more!

This is a free event to attend. Proceeds from registration fees will benefit Guide Dogs of America.

Enjoy a Fall-themed picnic

You pick the date, and Pop Up Party will customize a luxury picnic experience for you and your friends. Celebrate your birthday with a beach picnic or an anniversary at Seabridge in Oxnard. Choose a Fall, Halloween or Bohemian theme for your next event.

Halloween Market at the Harbor

October 8th from 10 am - 4 pm | Fisherman's Wharf

Stop by for a one-of-a-kind experience at the Channel Islands Harbor Market. Find vintage goods, jewelry, crystals, good food and great vibes at the Halloween Market. The family-friendly event will be held on October 8th on the Corner of Channel Islands & Victoria Avenue.

Oktoberfest is back! Enjoy authentic German Food and Drinks, a Fall-tastic Scarecrow Contest, music and a photo booth at the 1867 Oxnard Historic Farm Park.

Open Door Studio | Downtown OxnardOpen Door Studio is hosting a Scary Movie Museum event and will be creating installations inspired by Stephen King, Tim Burton and Stranger Things.

Calling all superheroes, princesses, witches and ghosts! Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy sweet treats at the Collection at RiverPark. This is a fun event the whole family can enjoy.

Spooky Maritime Scavenger Hunt

October 29, 3-6 pm | Channel Islands Maritime Museum

Dress up in your favorite costume and visit the Channel Islands Maritime Museum for ghostly tales of maritime mysteries and ships. Come aboard Central Coast Ocean Adventure’s tall ship Mystic Whaler for a haunted tour and Spooky Maritime Scavenger Hunt. Channel Islands Harbor Trick-Or-Treat bags will be available for children.

Admission is free for anyone under 18 years of age, accompanied by an adult or guardian. (One parent or guardian for every four kids.) Adult admission is $10, and seniors and active military are $5. Get your tickets here.

Parade of Frights

October 29 at 6 pm | Channel Islands Harbor

This Halloween, head to the Channel Islands Harbor to watch the inaugural Parade of Frights. The non-competitive Halloween-themed boat parade starts at 6 pm. Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy watching the decked-out Halloween-themed vessels. There will also be activities at the Harbor before the parade.

October 29 from 4 - 7 pm | Plaza Park

Dress up in your favorite costume for this family-fun event. Halloween Haunt in the Park is a free event on Saturday, October 29 in Downtown Oxnard. There will be a costume contest, bounce houses, face painting, hands-on crafts, Halloween-themed movie clips, music and more.

Strey Cellars 1st Annual Monsters Ball (HALLOWEEN PARTY)

October 29 from 6-10 pm

Howl at the moon and party “all night long” at Strey Cellars 1st Annual Monsters Ball Halloween Party. Listen to live music by The 805 Social Club and enjoy real wood-fired pizzas by Wood Stock Farina. Dress up for the costume party.

Dia De Los Muertos

November 5 | Oxnard Performing Arts Center

Join OPAC for another year of celebrating Dia de Los Muertos. The event will once again recognize Araw Ng Mga Patay, a Filipino holiday during which people pay homage to their deceased family members and loved ones by visiting their burial sites and making offerings such as food, flowers and prayers.

Festivities include local art exhibitions, inspiring performances by local dancers, poets and singers, guest speakers, artisan vendors, traditional food, children's activities and community altars.

The free event starts with a procession going through the neighborhoods around the center to get others involved. You're invited to contribute to the community altar.

Dia de los muertos altar (downtown Oxnard)

November 1-3 | Carnegie Art Museum in Downtown Oxnard

Oxnard's Dia de los Muertos altar returns to the steps of Carnegie Art Museum. Decorated with a 6-foot-tall Catrina, marigolds, candles and momentums. You are invited to bring a framed picture of your dearly departed loved ones to place on the altar.

Ventura county farm day

November 5, 2022

More than 20 Ventura County farms, ranches, and agricultural organizations will open their doors and invite the public to experience a day of agricultural activities and tours during the 10th Annual Ventura County Farm Day. You can explore everything from berry fields and hydroponically grown food to livestock ranches. Shop for fresh and local products at many of the farms. This event is free to attend.
